Qualifications/Requirements
|
- Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent a must
- Minimum of 5 years experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and operating in a 3D Measuring Environment.
- Experience with Zeiss Calypso & U-Soft
- Lay-out, 1st Piece, In Process, and Final Inspections
- Very strong background in GD&T and ability to read and understand complex machining drawings and CAD Models
- Use precision inspection measuring devices, such as: Johnson gauges, Sunnen gauges, Bore gauges, etc. a plus
- Familiarity with SPC Software, X & R Charts, Histograms a plus
- Familiarity with ISO-9001, AS9100, & TS16949 a plus.

Description
|
- Responsible for developing production and engineering in a manner that is consistent with the growth objectives of the organization; providing leadership that embraces and promotes the values of the organization; coordinating timely and accurate communication within multi-disciplinary functions of the company and leading, coaching and mentoring manufacturing engineering and development teams.
- This position will also implement process improvement and new technology to improve manufacturing cost and reduce scrap; develop and maintain metrics for manufacturing engineering, development, and programming department; oversee key projects that support the manufacturing processes and processes for new products; and work with quality, manufacturing, and engineering on troubleshooting problems and developing error proof solutions.
- The specific duties of the position include: evaluates manufacturing and chemical blending processes by designing and conducting process capability studies; lead lean sessions; develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; collaborating with equipment manufacturers; embrace design-to-value (DTV) principles to generate product improvements and line efficiencies; maintains manufacturing processes that comply with government safety regulations; sets standards for preventative maintenance to keep equipment operational per manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; participate in analysis of synergies between multiple plants, systems and/or equipment; directs resources to establish and program process data base, related programs and parameters; maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, to maintain knowledge of new technologies or manufacturing processes, and analyze proposed product changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility.
- Participate in projects teams as a team member or leader.
- Oversee manufacturing engineering and development teams.

Qualifications/Requirements
|
Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in business administration or engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Special skills - 3 years of experience with application of lean methods and principles; and 3 years of experience with quality systems, including ISO/TS/AS based systems.
